December 2009 - W.J. Castle, P.E. & Associates is awarded Honorable Mention by the PSPE Philadelphia Chapter at the Delaware Valley Outstanding Engineering Achievement Awards.
On December 3, 2009, the Pennsylvania Society of Professional Engineering
held the Delaware Valley Outstanding Engineering Awards Dinner at
McCall Conference Center in Upper Darby, PA. W.J. Castle, P.E & Associate’s
Roebling Steel Plant Bridge Reconstruction competed against Richard
Stockton College Solar Carports by Eastern Energy Services, Inc.,
Lockheed Martin’s GPS III Antenna Mechanical Design, WPVI Channel
6 Upgrade from Analog to Digital and Maida Engineering’s Quarry
Pumps Project. Each firm was given 10 minutes to present their project
and was followed by Q&A. The judges had a difficult deliberation
as each project proved to demonstrate engineering challenges and
innovative solutions, the importance of the engineering profession
to society and clear benefits to the Delaware Valley Region.
W.J. Castle, P.E. & Associates was awarded Honorable Mention along with WPVI
Channel 6 and Eastern Energy Services, Inc. Most notable award was given
to Maida Engineering and top honors went to Lockheed Martin. We at
W.J. Castle are honored to be in the company of such excellence. Congratulations
to everyone on great engineering and presentations!
