In 2012, Hydro-Marine Construction Co., Inc. was retained by Kemron Environmental Services, Inc. to perform the emergency repairs at the Sayerville sewerage plant. The sewerage plant was damaged during Superstorm Sandy, causing leakage into the Raritan River. Due to the high environmental impact, the project was fast tracked to prevent further contamination.
