- Certified Structural Engineer by the National Structural Engineers Certification board since 2003.
- Member of Pennsylvania State University Altoona Development Council since 2004 and Advisory Board Member starting in 2009.
- 2004 – Developed a one-week course with New Jersey Institute of Technology and Burlington County College for Underwater Inspection, Scour and Repair Methods
- Charter member No. 5 of the “Historical Diving Society – USA” in 1993.
- General Member of the Assoc. of Diving Contractors – International (ADC-I) since 1990.
- Elected in 2005 as a General Board Member to the Association of Diving Contractors International.
- Elected in 2009 as Chairman of the East Coast Chapter of the Association of Diving Contractors International.
- ASCE Committee that developed standards for underwater inspection on piers and other marine structures in 2001.

- 1991 – Member of ASCE “Underwater Investigations Committee” to develop national standards for divers/inspectors. Helped to establish this ASCE Committee in 1991 to develop National Standards for Underwater Inspectors and Inspections. These standards became effective in 2001 and are now a part of ASCE recommended practices.
