pttThis year’s Port & Terminal Technology Conference took place in Houston, Texas at the JW Marriot on April 12-13 where Bill Castle and Rick Parisi of The Castle Group presented their paper on the Quay Pier Rehabilitation Project. The conference was an impressive technical and well-structured program of industry experts and market leaders which explored the latest developments, issues, trends and technology affecting ports and terminals around the globe. The Conference Program included the following presentation topics; visions for the future, environmental, design and maintenance, capacity and productivity, port and terminal planning, operations and automation. The Castle Group was featured in the “Design & Maintenance” session which took a close look at wharf and quay design, terminal lay out and quay maintenance which is one of the vital issues that are in consideration for terminal operators and port authorities.
